Groceries for your holiday
We are frequently asked about local shops, place to stop before arrival or who will deliver to East Trenean Farm. So here is a list of places we hope you will find helpful.

Shop local
Tredinnick Farm Shop is our local Farm shop (less than a mile away) and they have a good selection of quality Cornish and local produce.
We also have some local high street food shops nearby in Looe. These include two Local Co-Op shops on Fore Street and a lovely green grocer and general store also selling meat from the local butcher, Quayside Fresh.

Pengellys Fishmongers can be found on the quayside in Looe. They sell beautiful fresh fish from the local day boats of Looe.

If you would like to purchase gifts or items to take home from your holiday including local food and drink, Purely Cornish on Fore Street, Looe is worth a visit.

Supermarkets
If you would like to visit a supermarket before arrival, there are 3 good options.

Sainsbury’s (post code PL3 6RL)
On the A38, on the outskirts of Plymouth.
There is a filter for the A379 (Torpoint) and superstore. If you take that filter off the A38, it will lead you down the hill to a very large roundabout and Sainsbury’s is the second exit.
You can then get back onto the A38 (signposted toward Liskeard) and follow the directions you have to East Trenean Farm.
Waitrose (post code PL12 6LD)
Continue on the A38 past Plymouth in the direction of Liskeard. Go over the Tamar Bridge (as per instructions), up the hill and turn right at the first roundabout (A388) signposted to Carkeel. Then right at the next roundabout and there is a large Waitrose on your right.
Again, it is easy to get back onto the A38 (toward Liskeard) and continue to follow our driving instructions to East Trenean Farm.
Morrisons (post code PL14 3PR)
Finally, there is a very large Morrisons in Liskeard. If you carry on along the A38, NOT turning off toward Looe (as indicated in our driving directions) and follow the A38 to Liskeard.
Take the filter for Liskeard, then turn right at the first and second roundabouts and left at the third, you will see the supermarket on your left.
To return to us, follow the signs back towards Plymouth (A38) and then take the right hand filter for Looe about a mile later. Follow this road through Horningtops and eventually take the left hand turn towards Hessenford and Widegates. Drive past the school and turn left at the end of the road. Follow this road through Widegates until the t-junction at the end. Turn right and we will be the third driveway on your left.

Delivery
You can of course arrange for a supermarket delivery direct to your cottage. Sainsbury's, Asda, Tesco and Waitrose will deliver here. If you choose to do this, please be sure to tell them which cottage you are staying in and arrange a time for after your expected arrival ! It is also helpful if you let us know about the arrival as we may need to direct the driver.
