There is so much to see and do here in SE Cornwall, on land, by train or on the sea! We are in our fourth year of living here in Cornwall and we are still exploring and feel as if we are on holiday too!
We do have a list of recommendations on our website, places we have visited ourselves or have been recommended by guests staying with us. There are some very helpful sites for visitors that also have comprehensive lists of visitor attractions and events and they can be found here alongside our own recommendations.
What's new in Looe! New summer holiday activities.
This summer has seen the arrival of Looe Land Train. The train runs from the Millpool Car Park to the Beach Front, West Looe Quayside and Hanafore. As well as being a great transport service, the train provides a heritage audio tour as you ride. We will have maps and information about the train in our cottages shortly. We are sure children will enjoy the ride and adults appreciate the service.
Last year also saw the arrival of Looe Self Drive Boat Hire. These little boats are a great activity. They can be hired from next to the RNLI slipway, you can then take the boat past the working harbour side, under the arches of Looe bridge and up the West Looe river where the woodland meets the waters edge. A beautiful place with an abundance of wildlife including Kingfishers to be seen.
